Investigation
I started my search the day after I made the first post here. The only thing I could think of was to go around asking around the neighbourhood for any information. Then I'd figure out what to do from there. However none of my neighbours seems to have seen anything. Some of the less polite neighbours flat out refused to talk to me.
Only the old lady across the street (I'm not going to use any names obviously.) had any information to share. Most of it was about her twelve cats. Which wasn't why I was there but at that point I could use a break. Also her tea is always nice. She did say she saw my mother leave the house that day. She saw her heading in the direction of the grocery store.
Which at least confirms my mother didn't lie about where she was going, probably. However it doesn't really provide any new clues. Which meant I had just spent half a day and made zero progress. So I had to start looking for clues elsewhere.
I figured I should try the grocery store. Since that's where she was going. If I retraced the steps she made might find something. I also tried asking anyone who passed by if they had seen anything. By the time I reached the grocery store I still had no new information.
So I went inside and asked the people who work there. It's a pretty small grocery store we visit often so if my mother had been here that day they would know. The owner however didn't want to tell me anything and said I should leave it to the police. Which I keep hearing from almost everyone despite the fact that the police aren't helping at all.
Luckily the owners wife was more willing to talk to me despite her husbands protests. According to her my mother hadn't been to the store that day. Which means she went missing before she reached the store. At least that's a piece of information more than I had before.
However, I now have a problem. I barely have any clues and have no idea where to go from here.
Wait that's not true. There's still one place left. My mother often said that whenever she was in trouble she turned to the synagogue. I haven't been there since I last year but my mother trusted the people there. So that's where I'm going. I really hope they can help because if they can't..
That's all for now. I'll post again soon.
