Yelling

Alicia and I have been talking about what the Camper said. It was more like an argument actually. There was yelling. I'm not good with yelling. I shut down when there's too much yelling. This is how the argument ended.

“Please Alicia, we have to try! If we don't do anything now..” I begged her.

Alicia sighed and rubbed her fingers over her temple and nose. “It's a trap. You know that!”

“Of course I do. You have a different plan then?”

“Yeah, it's called not going on a suicide mission!”

“You're already sick! If we don't find a doctor we can trust you'll be death soon. Isn't that also suicide? My mother is a doctor and we can trust her. We just need to find her and-”

“I'm fine!” She shouted. I curled up in the passenger seat.

We both know that was a lie but I couldn't respond. I was too much of a coward to say it then so I'll say it here. Even this is scary but these last couple of months have been one scary thing after another. So maybe I'm getting used to being scared. Which means I can do this.

She's not fine at all. She's been coughing and sweating for the past two days. I'm pretty sure I saw her wipe away some blood from her nose as well. I can almost feel her fever from the other side of the car. So no Alicia, you're not fine and it's all my fault. Yes, hi Alicia, I know you're reading this.

Faceless was right. If I had been more aware you wouldn't have gotten distracted trying to save me. That oathbreaker wouldn't have been able to surprise you. You wouldn't be sick. You wouldn't be dying because of me.

I don't want you to die. I don't want to be left alone.
If you die I lose my one chance to get my mother back. To get my whole family back.
Please, don't do that to me.

You promised you would do your best to give me a somewhat normal life again.
Please, don't break that promise.

If I lose lose you, I'll lose the woman I love.
Please, don't leave me.

    Leaf, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you. None of this is your fault, don't listen to that Faceless asshole. You are not to blame. You were in danger, so I saved you and I would do it again. You're right about one thing though. I made a promise to you and I will keep it.

    So we're gonna need a plan.

    Faceless was right. More people need to realize that I'm always right. Also yeah you definitely need a doctor. I heard Dr. Beakman is good at his job.
