Bodies
“You want to ask HER for help?!” I
couldn't believe what I was hearing.
“You have a better idea?” Alicia
asked as she struggled to get out of the car.
“No, but..”
“But what?”
“She's dangerous. Plus we don't even
know where she is. We can't start looking all over the city just to
find one person.”
“She won't be that difficult to
find.”
“What do you mean?”
“We just need to follow the bodies.”
Alicia pointed to a body that was slumped over against a wall.
Alicia wasn't wrong. We soon found a
second body. She had left behind a trail of bodies that wasn't so
hard to find. Which didn't make me change my mind about this being a
bad idea at all. There was a high chance that if we reached the end
of this trail that would be the end of us as well. We would just be
two more bodies on the same trail. Waiting for someone else to
follow.
Alicia had made up her mind though. She
was struggling to stay on her feet but just kept walking. After a
while I couldn't stand to watch her in pain like that anymore. So I
grabbed her arm and wrapped it around my shoulders. Letting her lean
on me.
“Thanks.”
She smiled at me, I smiled back.
We walked for what seemed like hours.
Halfway through all this it started to rain. Which we were not
prepared for. Eventually we found our seventh body. Alicia bent down
and touched their hand. “Still warm. We're getting close.”
“I'm not sure if that's a good
thing.” I said, still doubting if we could even find her. It was
almost morning. Soon people would come out and go to work. So maybe
us being around these bodies wasn't such a good idea. “Maybe we
should get back to the car, before morning comes.”
“I know you're scared but this is our
only chance. I don't think I'll be able to walk this much if we have
to do this again tomorrow.”
She was right. Also didn't I say I
might have been getting used to being scared? Turns out I was wrong.
I don't think I'll ever get used to it. I could plow through the fear
for now though. I had no other choice. So I picked Alicia up again
and we were about to start walking. That's when we heard a scream.
We hurried over to the source of that
scream as fast as Alicia could go. When we turned the corner there
she was. Standing over body number eight. Looking even more ominous
than last time. She had taken one of the black robes from the KRAKEN
guys. It was slightly too large for her. Her yellow eye glowed under
the hood as she turned towards us.
Alicia stepped towards her. “You're
Hella aren't you?”
“How the fuck do you know that?”
Obviously that was the perfect moment for lightning to flash across
the sky. As if this wasn't scaring the heck out of me already. I
tried to hide my fear by hiding behind Alicia. Which probably had the
opposite effect.
“I read through the blog Faceless
keeps.”
“Fucking hell, of course it had to be
that douche-bag's blog. What do you want?”
“We need your help.”
Yay Alicia did in fact mention me to her. Thanks for following through on that. Tell her I miss her and I look forward to potentially killing her again.
ReplyDeleteDid you miss the part where she can fucking drop people to their knees without being even close now? How exactly do you plan to kill her? Not to mention that guy who just dropped dead when she touched him. If I was you I'd hope I never see her again. Because yes, she still wants you very much dead.
DeleteI, for one, am dying to see Faceless go up against Hella again.
DeleteI'm sure it would be quite cathartic.

Oh right... So I might be skimming your posts a little... I did not actually notice that she can do that weird heart stopping thing at range now... That's pretty terrifying... Also so her touch is actually lethal now... Damn... Okay...
DeleteLet me think about this... Since after the tournament I still might end up having to deal with her again... I'll need to think about this... I'm thinking Intercontinental ballistic Missiles maybe?
