Hella

Alicia summarized our situation to Hella.
“This girl's mother got kidnapped by KRAKEN. “ She pointed at me as I cowered behind her.
“She hasn't been targeted by a Fear so far. There's still a chance for her to get out of this life. I promised I would try to give her that chance. The only way that's happening is by saving her mother. Otherwise her father will remain in prison for a murder that didn't happen. Because her mother is probably still alive.”
“What's that got to do with me?” Hella asked.
“I was getting there., The information we got from certain sources says they're keeping her mother in a nearby base. However, I'm pretty sick these days. I can't fight my way into a KRAKEN base by myself in my current state. While Leaf over here, well you've seen her combat abilities.”
“Yes, I've seen enough to be able to guess how far she'd get. So you want me to fight your battle for you. What's in it for me?”
“You seem to want to take down KRAKEN. Seeing as you've been going around killing their members I'd guess you're trying to find their base. Not much luck with that probably?”
“Good guess. These assholes are incompetent but they sure know how to keep a secret.” She kicked the dead guy at her feet.
“If our info is correct, and I'm pretty sure it is. Since we were ambushed for getting too close, probably. So we know the exact location of their base.”
“So you'll just point me in the right direction and what?”
“No, we're coming with you.” Alicia said, doing her best to stay on her feet. I could feel her trembling. Or that could have just been me trembling from fear..
“You yourself said neither of you can fight. You'd just get in the way. Just tell me where it is.”
“You won't have to worry about us. You just do your thing, fuck shit up. In the chaos that follows we will sneak in and extract Leaf's mother. In and out. Hopefully without being seen.”
“So I'm supposed to be your fucking distraction?”
“Pretty much. That way we won't get in your way either.”
Then there was a long silence. In the distance the thunderstorm got closer and louder.
“Fuck it, fine. I'll warn you though, don't get in the way. Or else.”
“Got it.”
So now we've got the scariest woman I've ever seen on our team. I think? It's more complicated than that probably. At least we're not dead yet?

The nest was still tied up and looking up at Scribe Delta. “So it is you. Wait, Sam, you're not with KRAKEN are you?” “No, old friend I'm not and my sources say that you aren't either anymore.” The nest let out a sigh of relief. “Thank fuck.
