Birds!!

Somehow we managed to capture the nest and tie them up on the backseat of Alicia's car. We used a combination of rope and the car's seat belts. Also loads of duct tape, so much tape. We made some measures to avoid the nest cutting themselves. Nobody wants a car full of loose birds. Once I was in my seat I realized I had a lot of questions. So the Fear's are real? Apparently? I have no other way to explain what happened. Either that or I'm going insane. The latter option seems more likely. Alicia's bird related wounds are pretty solid evidence of the former however. So I turned to Alicia who had just gotten in the driver’s seat. “What the hell was that?” “The Convocation. They're the Fear the Nests worship and serve.” She said as she put on her seat belt. “Why didn't you warn me?!” “I did. I told you to look out for birds that acted strangely.” She said calmly as she leaned over and opened the glove compartment. “I thought you meant fake bird dr...

Birds?!

We made our move. At least Alicia did. She told me to wait in the car because it was too dangerous. Alicia found a hiding spot on a street where the nest often came through. The car, with me in it, was parked a bit further on that same street. Mostly so Alicia could keep an eye on me in case things went wrong. It took about an hour before they showed up. They were wearing the same long black coat as they always do. Which made them easy to spot for us. Alicia jumped out of her hiding spot as soon as the nest passed by it. However this is where things started going wrong. A raven landed on the hood of the car and cried out. The nest heard this and turned around just in time to see Alicia. Alicia tried punching them in the face but the nest pulled back and she hit their chest instead. The nest grabbed Alicia's arm and threw her against the wall. And then.. The nest dropped their long coat, grabbed a knife, lifted their sh...

Birds?

Why are there so many of them? In this town I mean. Not in general. Although there are a lot of birds in the world. There just seems to be a large concentration of birds in this specific area. Maybe there's always this many birds. Maybe I'm just noticing them now because I'm trying to see if any of them act oddly. Although I'm not sure what normal bird behavior is. So far they seem okay to me, there's just more of them than I expected. I can barely turn a corner without seeing at least one. So far I've seen pigeons, seagulls, crows and a bunch of other small birds I don't know the name of. Nothing out of the ordinary. For a moment I thought seagulls were out of place this far from the sea. However I'm sure I've seen them around the city before. So that must not be too weird. In more important news, we've found the Nest. Alicia followed them for a bit and says she knows where they're living. All that's left now is grabbing them and ta...

Birds

Last time I kinda had a breakdown.. Sorry about that. Alicia saw me crying and gave me a hug. I think I really needed that. I'm okay now. So I'll just forget last post happened and start the next one. We've arrived in the general area where the nest is supposed to be. The document Scribe Delta gave us didn't point to a specific address. So we'll have to look around for them. Last night, as we were driving, I asked Alicia what the plan is. “We scout around for a few days. First we need to make sure our target is actually here. We should also get a bit familiar with the area. We'll figure out the rest once we find the nest. Hopefully they haven't been alerted yet. Also watch out for birds that act strangely.” “Birds?” “Birds. You'll understand when you see them.” “Okay, I guess.” I’m not sure what she meant. I know Nests worship bird gods. Do they maybe have some sort of drones disguised as birds? Why wouldn't Alicia just tell me that inst...

Father

It's gonna take us a while to get to where the nest is. So I've been having a lot of time to think about things. As scary as things have been lately at least my mind hasn't had time to wander. That's not the case anymore. I miss my parents. My father is in prison, he's probably breaking down. He's too sensitive to survive in there. I wish I could go visit and tell him everything will be okay. Even if that's probably a lie but that doesn't matter because they won't even let me talk to him. My mother is god knows where and being held by an evil cult. What do they even want with her? What if they hurt her? She probably doesn't even know what happened to dad. Mom please be okay. Please. Why did this happen to us? My parents are good people. When I came out as trans they did everything they could to support me. They did so much for me and now I can't do anything for them. I'm so scared. What if I'm too late? What if they already kil...

KRAKEN

Sorry for the cliffhanger on my last post. My battery was dying while I was writing it and I panicked. I'll just continue from where I left off. The other Librarian had just stormed into the room and said KRAKEN was trying to break in. Which was confusing because I'm pretty sure the front door was open when we walked in earlier. So I wondered why they didn't just walk in. Turns out the Librarian had looked out the window and saw five people with weapons come out of a van. So she pushed the emergency button which automatically closed and locked the door. The loud sound we heard was them trying to smash the door in. Scribe Delta quickly got of their seat and grabbed a file. They then pushed that file into my hands. “There's a back door, go through there to escape. That file has all the information you'll need on your target. We'll deal with KRAKEN. Go!” “O-oh, okay.” Before I could react I felt Alicia grab my arm. Then I'm suddenly being pulled along ...

Scribe Delta

Alicia decided to take the deal. She didn't want to do it at first. I asked her why and she said that Nests are extremely dangerous. Normally she avoids them whenever she can. I asked what Nests even are and why they're so dangerous. She said they're another cult. This one worships bird gods. Which to me seems far less threatening than a god of death or diseases. I'm also surprised at just how many of these secret cults there are. That's four of them so far. As for why they're so dangerous Alicia said they're always in flocks. “We just need the one though right? If we can separate him from the others it shouldn't be that hard.” I said. “..That's not... Look, it's not that easy.” She said while rubbing the temple of her nose. She seemed to have trouble thinking of a reply to that. I'm starting to think there might be something she doesn't want tell me. “Look, if you really don't want to do this that's okay. You've alre...
